I was in the middle of working, completely unprepared for any kind of press or magazine photos. Yet suddenly I’m being asked to show up for a shoot after pulling an all-nighter, exhausted, probably on my period, my face is swollen or reacting to something, and still knowing I have more work to do afterward. It wasn’t planned, it wasn’t ideal, and it definitely wasn’t the moment to be camera-ready – but there I was anyway.
This wisdom is life rarely waits for perfect timing – it unfolds as it will, and sometimes all you can do is move with it. If sharing this moment offers anything, I hope it reminds women professionals everywhere that even in the unexpected and imperfect, we carry ourselves with resilience, composure, and grace.
