“A Culture of Confusion: Why are Women Chasing Sexual Transmitted Diseases?”

I’m genuinely confused and honestly disturbed by what I’m seeing. I’m 45 years old, and as a woman, I cannot imagine ever wanting a sexually transmitted disease – not for fame, not for money, not because a man is attractive, and certainly not for the thrill of it. I’m not being judgmental – I’m being real. I do not understand women that pursue men with sexually transmitted diseases. I cannot make sense of why women choose partners with known infections when there are so many healthy men in the world.

It feels like a lack of self-worth, and it breaks my heart to see women settle for partners who put their health at risk. I’m not trying to be mean. I’m trying to make sense of a culture where it sometimes looks like women are choosing danger over safety, and I just don’t get it.

You only get this one life.
