Why on earth would anyone protect an individual who is, allegedly, involved in fraudulent conduct? That is the question throughout the years. I wish to formally clarify my position regarding Jeanine Eunice Veldhuis and the statements she has allegedly made about me. It has come to my attention that she contacted John Roche and conveyed, allegedly, that I was “mentally not right.” This occurred after an incident in which her friend reportedly spoke negatively about Mr. Roche at the Philharmonic House of Design. It is my understanding that her statements may have been made in an effort to preserve her standing with the Roche family rather than her best friend and the Disney family.
It is also my understanding that she continued to contact John Roche thereafter, allegedly to speak negatively about me. I dispute and reject any such characterizations. I have not wronged Ms. Veldhuis in any manner, and I find it concerning that she would make statements about my mental state or personal character without basis. My only in-person interaction with her occurred at the Philharmonic House of Design, during which she appeared to be consuming alcohol in a closet area; beyond that brief encounter; I have had no substantive in-person engagement with her.
I further note that inconsistency between her disparaging remarks about me and her subsequent appearance in a photograph with an individual who later initiated legal action against me. While I make no assertions regarding her motives; however, I reserve the right to question the credibility and intentions of anyone who participates in or supports conduct that appears to undermine my reputation.
For clarity, I am documenting my perspective, disputing the statements made about me, and asserting my right to protect my name from misinformation, misrepresentation, or attempts to damage my reputation.
The broader question that naturally arises – and which readers may consider for themselves – is why Ms. Veldhuis chose to align herself with individuals whose conduct has raised significant concerns. From my standpoint, her pattern of associations and her willingness to speak negatively about me, despite minimal personal interactions, are noteworthy and warrant thoughtful examination.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Nicole Nelson, Principal Designer
