“Lesbian: Not Interested.”

It isn’t a joke to claim I was a lesbian just because I refused to be intimate with a man – I mean, an asshole. I’ve had more than enough negative experiences with certain types of men in my life. I’ve also never felt romantic or intimate attraction toward women, and I never will. That’s simple who I am. I’m drawn to men, though they also intimidate me at times after being abused.

Being with the right man – someone you genuinely love – can be an incredible experience, and no one should try to convince you otherwise. They key is love with a man.

What I find troubling is the idea that some lesbian women thought that they could pressure or “groom” me. That’s not acceptable, and it’s delusional, especially after I’ve defended lesbians and supported their right to live authentically. Anyone who truly knew me would understand that I’m not a lesbian, and no one has the right to try to redefine my identity.
