Missy Scherber or Melissa Scherber (Lyles, Redman) has never been employed by me in any capacity. Our only professional interaction in Minnesota occurred when she served as my wedding coordinator at Weddings of Wayzata. At that time, she was pregnant, and we did not have a personal friendship.
Years later, while I was living in California, Kati Scherber — whom I knew through my former partner, Alan Sandell—asked if I would meet a woman named Missy for dinner because she was experiencing a difficult period. I agreed as a courtesy. I did not realize it was the same individual who had coordinated my wedding until we met in person and I recognized her.
