This story rests close to my heart. When I read it, the grief came suddenly, and completely. I still struggle to understand how a woman could carry enough darkness to take another woman’s life. It’s a tragedy of human nature I may never understand.
Why does it so often seem as though women turn their hurt toward one another, when we should be each other’s protectors instead of directing our pain inward?
