The Distinction Between Earned Professional Design Credibility and the Performed Illusion of Influencer Expertise

I have chosen, year after year, to use my platform to present my complete design process, from initial concept through final execution. As a trained professional, I take great pride in demonstrating the depth, discipline, and integrity that define authentic design practice. In an era where the title of “designer” is frequently adopted by influencers without the education, skill, or accountability required to uphold it, the contrast has become increasingly disheartening. We now find ourselves in a culture where imitation and a pleasant smile are often mistaken for genuine expertise, which only reinforces the importance of standing firmly in the truth of one’s professional design career. Below are samples of my design work from a project in Corona del Mar. There is no illusion in being an educated, formally trained, and fully qualified as a principle designer.
