If you are upset about this bill-regardless of whether you identify as a Republican, Democrat, or Liberal-then I prefer not to engage further. House Bill 1748, known as Chelsea’s Law, was created to help protect children from sexual predators and to strengthen the safety of our communities. I trust that this is understood.
I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making this bill a reality. I am profoundly grateful, and its passage brings me to tears for deeply personal reasons.
