I want to address the ongoing claims suggesting that I had an in-person affair with Mr. Downing while I was married, and while he was involved with the “other woman” or with anyone else. These allegations are entirely false. I have not seen Mr. Downing in-person for years prior to my marriage-and I have had no intention of seeing him since. I have deliberately kept my distance from him, and any suggestion otherwise is simply untrue.
It is important to recognize what is actually true. The real story is the affair that Todd and Julie had at my expense or the multiple affairs Todd engaged in at my expense. That is the factual and relevant issue, not the false narrative being circulated about me.
I am setting the record straight because my name continues to be invoked in a public situation that never occurred. I have never had a face-to-face affair with Mr. Downing while I was married nor at any time afterward. The public should consider why this falsehood persists and who benefits from keeping it alive.
Mr. Downing used my name for his own purposes, and I will not allow misinformation to define my character or my history.
