“The Signature Gallery: It Was Not a Joke”

What happened to me was not funny. I was at work, and they sent in someone who looked almost identical to the man who assaulted me. That isn’t a joke – it’s cruel and inhumane. Imagine surviving a sexual assault and then being confronted with someone who intentionally looks just like your attacker, as if the encounter were meant to torment your mind. There is nothing humorous about that. It was intentionally cruel, and the very nature of it exposes the root of real harm. Sexual assault is not a joke.
