I wasn’t imaging it. The federal case against the Alexander brothers reflects the same fear that so many women across the United States have lived with in the real estate world. My own experience ran deep in real estate, shaped by a man who abused me. Carrying a truth that was hard for others to see or prove – while watching the world move as if nothing was wrong – it is one of the hardest realities to hold.
