The wisdom is simple: some people love to steal the spotlight, and some people become the spotlight through hard work. Knowing the difference – and choosing which one you want to be matters. On Bravo, some cast members enjoyed dreaming, and performing for the cameras, but they were not hired as designers for X & Oh. Every element – from the architectural concept to the completed space – was created and completed by me. I was the only professionally hired architectural and interior designer on the project, and all the design work reflected from my expertise, not from theirs. I want to make sure this is crystal clear.
Why is this clarified? Because women professionals work extremely hard to build our careers, and we cannot continue allowing our society to blur, diminish, or redirect our accomplishments. We are truly remarkable women – capable, disciplined, and essential – and the world needs more of us standing firmly in our expertise, and refusing to let anyone rewrite the truth of what we have earned. I hope you hear me, and I hope you fly high, women professionals – your brilliance and your presence are needed now more than ever.
Sincerely,
Principal Designer
