in 2013, I introduced Missy Scherber to John Roche. I barely knew John, and what looked like an innocent friendship between them turned out to be… well, not so innocent. How do I know? Because they eventually admitted they were messaging each other and talking trash about me like it was a team-building exercise.
Meanwhile, Missy was staying at my rental —without me there, allegedly —because I’m the kind of person who opens my door when someone has nowhere to go. Apparently, she opened the door right back… into John’s circle, not mine.
Let’s just say the gratitude-to-betrayal ratio was not in my favor.
What really sealed it was her silence. She knew exactly how horrible John was to me, and she said nothing. Not a whisper. Friendship? Kindness? More like selective memory wrapped in strategic silence.
And yes, I was in the picture — but if you look at their body language, you can see practically see the thought bubble: “We’re in our own little world, thanks.”
It’s messy, it’s gross, and it’s the truth.
Why did this happen? Their choices showed what they valued — and it wasn’t me. It was money and each other. She picked trash over class.
